EPF Calculator — Employee Provident Fund Corpus Projection
This EPF calculator projects your future Employee Provident Fund retirement corpus based on your current basic salary, expected salary growth and years left to retirement — it is a forward-looking projection tool, not a balance checker. To see your actual current EPF balance, log into the EPFO member portal or the UMANG app with your UAN; this calculator cannot access that data and doesn't attempt to.
Your age today, used as the starting point for the projection.
The age at which you plan to stop working and withdraw your EPF corpus.
Basic pay plus dearness allowance — the figure EPF contributions are actually calculated on, not your full CTC.
Your existing EPF balance today, if you already have one — leave at 0 if you're starting fresh or unsure.
How much you expect your basic salary + DA to grow each year, on average, until retirement.
Declared annually by the EPFO — currently 8.25%. Historically this has ranged roughly between 8% and 8.75% in recent years.

Frequently asked questions
Does this show my actual current EPF balance?+
No — this is a projection tool for your future corpus based on the inputs you provide, not a balance checker. To see your real, current EPF balance, log into the EPFO member e-Sewa portal or the UMANG app using your UAN (Universal Account Number).
Why does the calculator model 24% going to EPF when I've heard some of it goes to a pension scheme?+
You've heard correctly — 8.33% of the employer's 12% contribution (up to a wage ceiling) is routed to the Employee Pension Scheme (EPS), not the EPF corpus. This calculator explicitly simplifies by treating the full 24% as EPF corpus growth, which means the real EPF-only corpus you'd see on your EPFO passbook will be somewhat lower than the figure shown here, with the difference instead building your EPS pension entitlement.
Is the EPF corpus taxable when I withdraw it at retirement?+
EPF withdrawal is tax-free if you've completed 5 or more years of continuous service. Withdrawing before 5 years of continuous service can trigger tax on the employer's contribution and interest portions. Partial withdrawals are also permitted for specific life events like a home purchase, medical emergencies, or education — these aren't modeled in this projection, which assumes a single lump-sum withdrawal at retirement.
